Objective

The conference, titled "aligning technologies with human values: issues and challenges for guidance and counseling in the global context" aims to:

  1. Knowledge Exchange and Ethical Considerations: Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices related to integrating technology ethically in guidance and counseling. This includes sharing research findings, case studies, and emerging trends in responsible technology use for promoting human well-being

  2. Culturally Responsive Technology Integration: Enhance the capacity of guidance and counseling professionals to integrate technology in a culturally responsive manner. This involves exploring how cultural values and contexts influence technology use, ensuring equitable access for diverse populations, and mitigating potential biases in technology-based approaches.

  3. Building a Global Framework:  Promote the development of a global framework for ethical technology use in guidance and counseling. This framework will draw on the expertise of international participants and address shared challenges across diverse regions.

  4. Evidence-Based Technology Integration: Encourage research on the effectiveness and ethical implications of technology-assisted guidance and counseling interventions. Sharing the latest research findings will inform the development of best practices and guide future advancements in the field.

  5. Showcasing Effective Technology Use: Showcase successful case studies and practical strategies for utilizing technology ethically and effectively in guidance and counseling settings.  This will demonstrate the positive impact technology can have on client well-being and inform the development of evidence-based approaches.

By fostering these objectives, the conference aims to equip guidance and counseling professionals with the knowledge and tools to navigate the complexities of technology in a way that upholds human values and promotes the well-being of individuals and communities worldwide. Through open dialogue, shared experiences, and collaboration, we can ensure that technological advancements serve as a force for good within the field of guidance and counseling, empowering us to better serve the needs of a diverse global population
